Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this evening (Thursday) in a live broadcast on Facebook that "if it appears that the lockdown is not working well enough, we will tighten it. On Monday we will make a decision. This will be determined based on data and not arbitrarily or on whims. We are at war. In a difficult war against the virus.".

Netanyahu criticized Yisrael Beiteinu Chairman MK Avigdor Lieberman: "The anarchy that Lieberman is creating in the name of democracy is irresponsible. It is unbelievable that people who want to be leaders express themselves like this. In a pandemic situation, one must act according to the rules to maintain public safety.".

The Prime Minister clarified that flights were restricted "to prevent gatherings and also as a sign of solidarity.".
