This brings the number of confirmed infections in Israel to 214,458. Yesterday, results were received for 60,524 tests, with a positive rate of 12.81%.
The number of active patients now stands at 60,786.
There are 1,338 patients hospitalized in hospitals, 669 in serious condition, of whom 167 are on ventilators.
In terms of the morbidity graph, the doubling rate of patients is now once every 12 days, which is the fastest doubling rate in over a week.
Last night was also a difficult day in terms of the number of deaths, which stands at 1,378 people since the outbreak of the pandemic: an increase of 43 from yesterday morning.
