This evening (Wednesday), Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu landed at Ben Gurion Airport after a short two-day visit to Washington, during which he signed peace agreements with the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain. After landing, media personality Yinon Magal posted footage from the plane on his Twitter account, showing Netanyahu sleeping on the floor of the plane, with a book in his hand. "I hope at least that the political reporters and their news systems are satisfied that a prime minister who returns from a historic peace agreement in the White House is sleeping on the floor," Magal tweeted, "atonement for him by falling asleep with a book.". Meanwhile, less than a day after the ceremony, White House spokespeople learned this evening that many staff members tested positive for the coronavirus. The possibility is being investigated that these were employees who were involved in the signing ceremony of the agreements with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. Mark Meadows, the White House chief of staff, said in response to the report that he never comments on health issues related to the White House.
Members of the delegation that accompanied the Prime Minister will enter a five-day quarantine until they undergo an epidemiological investigation in the coming days. If any members of the delegation are found to have deviated from the approved outline, they will be required to complete the 14-day quarantine period.
