Of all the messages of mourning and sharing in sorrow over the murder of Rabbi Avraham Wallace by an evildoer, the announcement published this morning (Wednesday) in the Haredi dailies is undoubtedly the most surprising: The Prime Minister's Office is publishing, on behalf of "the Prime Minister, the Government of Israel and the people of Israel," a statement of mourning over his death.
Rabbi Avraham Wallace, a follower of the 'Toldot Aharon' Hasid, a resident of the Mea Shearim neighborhood, was murdered in a car bombing attack on Monday afternoon near Zvahil Square in Jerusalem.
Wallace, 29, served as a supervisor of excavations carried out at the construction site of businessman Harshi Friedman, on behalf of the Atra Kadisha organization. He also worked at the famous Wallace tzitzit factory in Jerusalem.
His father, Rabbi Shimon Wallace, is a slaughterer in the Badatz of the Haredi community, and his father-in-law is the cantor Rabbi Yaakov Hanun, from the Hasidim of Mishkenot HaRoiim.
They are all among the Jerusalem fanatics and oppose the Zionist government.
The ad, which came via PM from the Prime Minister's Office directly to the newspaper advertising department, stated: "The Prime Minister, the Government of Israel and the people of Israel mourn the death of Rabbi Avraham Wallace, the late Rabbi, who was murdered in a car bombing in Jerusalem, and share in the heavy grief of the family. May you be comforted in the comfort of Zion.".
