Yisrael Beiteinu Party Chairman MK Avigdor Lieberman posted today (Tisha B'Av) on his social media accounts why network star Mailach Zilbershlag is highly regarded by him.

His secret: Earn a prestigious degree without preparatory school and without prerequisites • Want one too?

""Free love. Melech Zilbershlag and I live in two separate worlds and hold different worldviews. Despite this, there are many things for which I appreciate him: his love for the country, the desire to see more young Haredi people integrate, and the aspiration to live in a country that allows everyone to choose how to live their lives.".

Mailach shared Lieberman's tweet - and tweeted in response:

""The cynical instinct in me wanted to share this and write, 'I see the comments of the Mellerlers and would like to remind them that Litzman would not have tweeted such a thing.' My cynical instinct wanted to ignore the tweet, share Lieberman's previous tweet against the yeshiva budgets and write, 'Did you see what Lieberman tweeted?''

""My critical instinct wanted to remind Gafni that a little tact wouldn't hurt, that perhaps when millions of the country's citizens are groaning under the jaws of the economic pandemic, this isn't exactly the right time to commit suicide over a financial benefit to the yeshiva world.".

""My crazy instinct wanted to simply write 'I will respond to this tweet within 48 hours' - but the Israeli instinct in me waved aside everything else and at the end of the day and at the end of this unity government (haha) we have to live here together.

""And if only we had young, responsible adults in the camps that make up our lives here, our future would be better. It's easier for Lieberman to remember the turning of the neck, I prefer to see the reaching out of a hand in the tweet.".

He added: "That's why I'm here. Thank you Yvette, I have every hope that you will also be able to look at my brothers as individuals and not as a group, as human beings and not as voices in the political game. This is what will make our life here a paradise. A real one. Not one that is just an expression.".

The father, media personality Dudi Zilbershlag, tweeted in response: "Proud of you! A successful choice - remembering where you came from. A fitting response to this holy day - a reminder of where you are going. And to receive an outstretched hand - remembering to whom you will be accountable.".
