Opposition leader and Yesh Atid chairman Yair Lapid opened the faction meeting today (Monday) with an attack on the coalition. "And these days there is no government in Israel. There is no government. The ministers in the Corona cabinet are arguing with the health minister. The coalition chairman is arguing on Twitter with the finance minister. The prime minister is making jokes in front of the cameras to his replacement shadow." Lapid continued: "We don't know if the budget will be one-year or two-year. We don't know what the new guidelines are, if there are new guidelines. We don't know when the next one will be. We don't know why unemployment benefits aren't being given to the self-employed. "We don't know what kind of summer camps there will be. We don't know how many people are allowed to gather - 50 people, 250 people, or 500 people. We don't know. Because we don't know who is actually responsible for what." According to him, "The Ministry of Health is giving recommendations. There is a global pandemic and they are giving recommendations, like restaurant inspectors. There are not enough tests. We need to reach 15,000 tests a day. There is not enough data on the disease. There is no compensation plan for small businesses. There is no return-to-work plan. Unemployment rates in Israel are among the highest in the world." Lapid to laugh: "A few weeks ago, the Prime Minister said that 'the whole world is learning from us how to handle Corona.' Everyone was very impressed, except the whole world. Because the world understands that there is a difference between talking and managing a crisis. They are not impressed by speeches, they work with data: "The European Union is opening borders, but it marks Israel as a red state. A red state is a state that is not handling Corona properly. This is the result of bad management. Confused, inconsistent, unprofessional. Instead of handling the crisis, they established the most bloated government in the history of the country. Yesterday, a survey was published according to which 85% of the public is concerned about its economic situation. Everyone else is a member of the government. They are arranging tax benefits and Audi E-8s for each other. "This government has no right to exist. They threw away all the promises, deceived the voters, because they said 'Corona, Corona.' "They just don't deal with Corona, because they're too busy. With their fights. With their puffed-up honorifics. With their jobs and their chairs. They don't even hide it anymore - because shame is dead.".
