Kfar Chabad vs. Yisrael Beiteinu: The editor-in-chief of 'Kfar Chabad', Rabbi Aharon Dov Halperin, commented on his Twitter account this morning (Thursday) on MK Eli Avidar's speech in the plenary session, in which he claimed that "Netanyahu wants the coronavirus to spread" - and wrote: "The cooperation between the anti-Semites from the 'joint' and the anti-Semites from 'Yisrael Beiteinu' - has been expressed above and beyond what was expected in the competition between Tibi and Lieberman - Lieberman is winning so far.".

MK Avidar responded to the tweet and wrote: "This is the editor of the Kfar Chabad newspaper. It's sad how much blasphemy flows through his veins! Chabad has always been perceived by me as above politics. I have no idea why it's happening to the Lubavitcher Rebbe, zt"l, that one of his followers replaced him with Netanyahu.".

Rabbi Halperin did not hold back and scolded: "This is not your wording... Why don't you say something in the name of Omro and bring redemption to the world?""

In doing so, the editor implied that a Chabad follower close to Yisrael Beiteinu was behind the tweet.

Avidar replied: "I would answer you as you deserve, but I will refrain because there is enough disagreement in the Jewish people. You would do well to think before you type the words of vanity and heresy dictated to you by a young man. Make a repentance and return to the path of Chabad and bring redemption to yourself first. The Jewish people will manage without your help.".

Political commentator Yaakov Rivlin took advantage of the opportunity and wondered: "K.K. Avidar. Forget Halperin's response for a moment. Explain to us the substance of the statement attributed to you that Netanyahu allowed the Haredim to infect and infect. Who exactly are we infecting? The students in the gymnasium? When talking about a sector in general, one has to be careful.".
