The data also shows that there are 217 patients in all educational institutions - an increase of 11 patients compared to yesterday. In Jerusalem, the epicenter of the outbreak in the education system, there are 164 patients.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education is examining a return to learning in small groups in middle and high schools.

Security Division Director Aryeh Mor said in the Knesset Education Committee: "The coronavirus infection events are family events that feed the infection in schools. The decision is to conduct tests on all students and teaching staff who come into contact with coronavirus patients - something that did not exist until now.".

According to a report on Channel 12, due to the dramatic increase in the number of people infected with the coronavirus in the education system, the Ministry of Health is expected to recommend today (Tuesday) or tomorrow the closure of middle and high schools until the end of the year. The Ministry of Health has understood that the main source of infection is in these age groups and will recommend the step in order to prevent the further spread.
