Aryeh Erlich, deputy editor of the newspaper 'Mishpacha' and a resident of the Haredi city of Beitar Illit, celebrated President Trump's 'deal of the century' on his Twitter account - and Netanyahu's intention to apply sovereignty to the Jewish settlements.

""I am a settler," Erlich wrote. "I live in a Haredi settlement in Gush Etzion. I experienced the painful years of the freeze in which we could not put up a balcony or move a pebble from side to side. Every move I make requires the consent of the Civil Administration. Subject to military laws.

""This day is a day of good news for me, for hundreds of thousands of settlers, for the Land of Israel and Jewish history.".

The one who was quick to cool his enthusiasm was political commentator Yaakov Rivlin, who tweeted: "Aria. In the field of real estate, your situation will be worse. Israeli law is very strict on the issue of building permits and the celebration of illegal construction that adorns almost every building in Beitar Illit will stop.".

Rivlin continued with the intimidation: "You will also be forced to pay improvement fees for building permits. Jordanian law is better for you.".
