Former President Moshe Katsav filed a petition with the court yesterday, requesting that he be allowed to go on Passover vacation so that he can celebrate the Seder with his family.

Katsav, who is imprisoned in the Torah wing of Ma'ashiyahu, appealed to the Central District Court after the Prison Service rejected his request to go on vacation, claiming that he had already used the vacation days he was entitled to, in accordance with the conditions of his imprisonment.

The IPS's refusal came after the former president went on vacation during the Purim holiday, while the law only allows him to take another vacation in two months.
