Miracle in Beitar Illit: On Breslav Street on Hill A in the city, two children, cousins about 12 years old, fell from a height of about 3 meters after climbing onto the roof of a pergola - and were only slightly injured.
Volunteer paramedics from the United Hatzalah branch in Beitar provided them with initial medical treatment, and they were evacuated to the hospital in an MDA intensive care unit. At this point, one of them was unconscious, but miraculously he regained consciousness upon entering the hospital, and is now classified as lightly injured.
A United Hatzalah spokeswoman said: "Passersby told paramedics that the children climbed a pergola on the balcony and fell from a height. The paramedics provided initial medical treatment to one of the children, who suffered a head injury and lost consciousness, and to another child who was slightly injured. After initial medical treatment at the scene, the children were evacuated to hospitals.".
