The clashes began yesterday following the discovery of the body of a 16-year-old Palestinian boy in the Jerusalem forest. Hundreds of demonstrators clashed with security forces, threw stones and various objects at them, and even stoned the light rail station there. Three pipe bombs were thrown, one of which exploded. An Arab citizen was taken to the hospital. Molotov cocktails were also thrown at the police.
Meanwhile, the autopsy of the boy, who was definitely identified as Aba Abu Khadir, was completed at the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Abu Kabir. A Palestinian doctor also participated in the autopsy, and its findings were passed on to the police.
Analysis of security camera footage has strengthened the belief among security officials that the boy was murdered for nationalistic reasons, but no further evidence for this hypothesis has been found. The boy's funeral was postponed following the autopsy.

After months of silence, a rocket was fired toward the town of Ofakim this morning. Red alert sirens sounded in succession in Sderot and the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council this evening.

The spokesman promised that the military wing would surprise both its enemies and its friends when it revealed the weapons capabilities it possesses.
He added that Israel may be able to determine how the campaign will begin, but it does not have the ability to determine how it will end. "The military wing is prepared for anything, and it is in full coordination with the other factions and movements in Gaza," he said.
