After nearly a day of disruptions: Pelephone issued a statement this morning (Monday) stating that during the night "work was completed to address subscribers who experienced service disruptions yesterday.".
However, even now, some subscribers are still experiencing disruptions in making and receiving calls. The company says they continue to monitor the network and address isolated cases of unavailability. Another update will be issued when the network returns to full normality.
Yesterday, hundreds of thousands of the company's customers were unable to make, receive calls, or surf the Internet.
The company's customers reacted with great anger yesterday to the serious glitch, and some threatened to abandon the company. "Don't rush.. Everything is fine, take your time... We are already moving to another company!", wrote one of them. "Simply disgusted with all the damage you are causing us! Do you think we are in your hands?! So it's not! Today, or rather now, we are moving to another company. Shame on you.".
Another customer said: "My day is already lost. As a freelancer, if I don't have a number, I have no way to schedule appointments.".
Another customer added: "After I get the cell phone line, I will no longer stay with the company because the economic damage is enormous.".
Pelephone's CEO said last night: "First of all, we would like to apologize to our customers for the inconvenience caused to them during the day. It is clear to us that an event of this type requires compensation, which we will announce later.".
