Members of the Jerusalem faction will go out this afternoon (Monday) for a stormy protest demonstration at 4:00 PM, at the intersection of Hashomer and Jabotinsky streets in Bnei Brak - which will cause traffic congestion in the city of the Torah and Hasidism and its surroundings.

The police are preparing for the protest and announce that traffic congestion and blockages are expected on the following streets:

- Jabotinsky Street from Ben Gurion towards the east.
- HaYetzira Road in Petah Tikva heading west.
- Exits to Jabotinsky Street from the direction of Bnei Brak will be directed west.
- Pioneers Street is expected to be closed to vehicle traffic from Abarbanel Street to Jabotinsky.

As Highway 4 is closed to traffic -

- Vehicles will be directed towards Aluf Sadeh from south to north and to Interchange 471.
- From the north, Highway 4 will be closed to traffic from the direction of the Morasha Junction.

""It is recommended that road users constantly check the police's 110 information center for traffic congestion and use the navigation app for alternative routes," the police say. "Public transportation passengers should check with the bus companies and their information centers accordingly.".

The police statement further stated: "The police will be deployed on the main thoroughfares and will direct traffic and reduce traffic congestion to the extent possible.".

The police added: "The Israel Police is prepared for the protest and will work to ensure the safety, security and safety of the participants and, no less importantly, will ensure that the protest does not unduly disrupt the daily lives of the general public.".

""The Israel Police will not prevent the protest from taking place out of a sincere desire to allow freedom of expression and protest for every citizen who wishes to do so. At the same time, we will not allow any disturbance of the peace and will act resolutely against violent incidents of any kind.".

The Jerusalem faction announced the protest after the Jaffa military court on Thursday extended the detention of Nissan Rada, a student at the 'Reshit Hochma' yeshiva who was arrested for desertion - until Tuesday.

Rada was arrested, according to his relatives, on Wednesday, during a routine traffic police inspection in northern Israel. After it was discovered that he had deserted from the IDF, he was handed over to the military police.
