Facebook Israel announced this evening (Tuesday) that information from 47,000 Israelis may have been leaked to Cambridge Analytica.
""After a thorough and as comprehensive review as possible, our assessment, both regarding the number of people who installed the app and the number of people whose friends' information may have been exposed: Only 28 Israelis installed the app and another 46,986 may have been affected," the company says.
This includes everyone who has ever corresponded with those 28 Israelis who installed the app.
According to a report on Channel 2, among the 47,000 users whose details were leaked was one of the operators of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's popular page - his new media advisor, Yonatan Urich.
News 2 notes that it is unclear whether the information of those users who only liked the Prime Minister's page was also leaked.
This is one of the most popular Facebook pages in Israel, with more than two million followers.
Likud clarified: "There is no information leak from Prime Minister Netanyahu's Facebook page.".
