A poster from 1972, accompanied by various photographs showing Israel Police officers brutally beating yeshiva students who participated in various demonstrations by the ultra-Orthodox public - is up for auction tomorrow.
""The poster was intended for distribution among the Jewish diaspora in the Diaspora with the aim of exposing by its creators the injustices that were allegedly committed in the Land of Israel against the ultra-Orthodox public in the early 1970s," explains the auction house Winner's.
The poster, which is divided into various photographs, shows uniformed police officers beating Haredi yeshiva students with batons, police water cannons spraying water at protesters, yeshiva students in custody, a burning tin can in the Mea Shearim neighborhood, photos of protesters holding signs condemning then-Police Minister Shlomo Hillel - who refers to Haredi as terrorists, and more.

A photograph showing yeshiva students being led to arrest and the caption:
Yisroel Bernat and Shmuel Weisenstern are led in chains to prison.
The poster is accompanied by a caption quoted from various Israeli newspapers such as 'Penin el Panin' and 'Yediot Aharonot', which describe the police as behaving with severe and disproportionate brutality (including the term "anti-Semitic"), turning their force against the protesting yeshiva students and leading them to arrest in order to break their spirit, without any sufficient cause.
The poster consists of two pages printed on both sides [4 pages].
Winners estimates the poster's value is between $300 and $600. Its opening price is only $100.
