At this stage, the nature of the problem, which was fixed around 1:30 AM, is unclear, and no response was provided by the company, and the problem has not been officially confirmed.

According to the outage map on the Downdetector website, the outage was concentrated mainly in European countries and was also felt in the United States and South America. Users also reported disruptions in North Korea, India, and Dubai.

The glitch comes shortly after a series of updates to WhatsApp. Yesterday, it was announced that a new update allows conversations to be pushed to the top when new messages are received.
