In light of the instructions of the great men of Israel, prayers were held during Shabbat in all synagogues and Jewish centers in Israel and abroad. The synagogues held special prayers for the safety of the hostages at the opening of the temple.
• By order of the Grand Rabbi Steinman, chapters of Tehillim were recited in synagogues after the evening prayer on Shabbat.
• On Saturday evening, after they told the Hegrai'l Steinman about the kidnapping, and that the boys had hitchhiked, he said: "Why do people hitchhike in a dangerous place? • Prayers were held in the yeshivot world. At the request of the family of the missing, on Saturday night after evening prayers, a special mass prayer was held in the Ponevezh yeshiva under the direction of the yeshivot's head, Garav Povarsky, and with the participation of thousands, for the rescue of the kidnapped. Mass prayers were also held in Mir and Hebron.
• In the Yazdim Synagogue in Jerusalem, a mass prayer service was held immediately after the regular weekly shiur of the Rabbi Yosef. At the end of the shiur, the Rabbi Yosef instructed the participants to remain for prayer. In front of the Ark, Rabbi Elbaz, Rosh Yeshiva Or Chaim, recited the Psalms for a time of need, after which the selihot were recited in the holy tongue, because according to the opinion of Rabbi Yosef, the selihot and the 13 midots should not be recited in Aramaic before midnight.
Afterwards, the Kabbalist Rabbi Yaakov Ades appeared, who encouraged the audience to strengthen themselves in Torah and in good deeds. Rabbi Ades led the Kabbalah of the Yoke of the Kingdom of Heaven. After this, he recited verses that are suitable for times of trouble, and special prayer chapters.
At the end of the prayer, Rabbi Adas said the Kaddish, "Answer and Repent," which is said in the Eastern version of the High Holy Days. Rabbi Elbaz led a special blessing for the three kidnapped children.
• A mass prayer was held at the Western Wall at midnight, attended by Chief Rabbi Rabbi David Lau, Rabbi of Safed Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, and Rishalt HaGari Yosef.

• In the large Beit Midrash of the Vizhnitz Hasidic Center, on Shabbat Eve after the Mincha prayer, the Rebbe of Vizhnitz asked the entire congregation to recite Tehillim, and announced the names of the three abductees. The Rebbe added: "May the names of those wicked people who are standing against us to destroy us be erased, until when?
