Years of holding: The Jerusalem District Court ruled today that the domain maariv.co.il belongs to the Jerusalem Post Group, which purchased the Maariv newspaper.

The Jerusalem Post Group, owned by businessman Eli Azur, who purchased Maariv, filed a complaint with the Antitrust Authority over what it called an "illegal merger," after the Israel Hayom Group, which acquired Makor Rishon and the NRG website, sought to transfer the domain to its possession, claiming that it was part of NRG's digital assets.

Judge David Mintz ruled that until June 23, the address maariv.co.il will direct surfers to a split screen, which will allow them to reach both sites - "nrg" and "Maariv al-Shavua." After this date, the address will only redirect to the 'Maariv al-Shavua' site.
