The scientific community never stops debating the limit of human ability in terms of running speed over a specified distance in a specified time.

Until 2008, it was generally accepted that the world record, which was set at a speed of just under 10 seconds for running 100 meters, was unbreakable.

Then came Usain Bolt, who improved the world record to 9.7 seconds.

But even the legendary Nigerian will be no match for the new robot, which can run faster and even avoid obstacles. The robot was developed by Korean researchers from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), and is capable of reaching speeds of 28.58 miles per hour, as reported by Sky News.

The robot is equipped with a system that simulates an 'Achilles tendon' for shock absorption and recovery during movement, and is made of a lightweight metallic material, weighing only 12 kg.

Now, just try to imagine what could be done with such a private robot.
