Call to Yaakov Litzman: Require the installation of an alarm that will help not to forget babies

The terrible tragedy in which the late toddler Elia Wingot, aged one and three months, from a Haredi family from Ashdod, died after being forgotten in the family car, caused a stir in the Haredi community. The fact that anyone could forget a child in a car arouses a fear among parents that never lets up. Uri Holtzman, The chairman of the Beitar Medical Center and a member of the Beitar Elite City Council, addressed Health Minister Yaakov Litzman this morning, writing: "Following the tragic event in Ashdod yesterday - there are quite a few solutions. A law should be enacted, similar to a safety seat and seat belt, whereby it will be mandatory for anyone transporting infants under the age of 3-4 to install one of the existing warning devices, with a warning of a report and imprisonment for the offender.". "אשמח שתעלה זאת לדיון רציני והצעת חוק בכנסת - והיה זה שכרנו", חותם הולצמן את מכתבו.
