'Kalbotek' presenter Rafi Ginat will compensate Rabbi Amnon Yitzhak for 57,000 shekels

 The Herzliya Magistrate's Court ruled on Thursday that media figure Rafi Ginat must pay Rabbi Amnon Yitzhak 57,000 shekels in damages, journalist Yaki Adamker reported in Walla.

Reason for compensation: The season opening program of 'Kalbotek,' broadcast on behalf of the Channel 2 franchise, dealt with a swindler named Assaf Hadad, who allegedly stole money while working for the Shofar News newspaper, owned by Rabbi Amnon Yitzhak. During the investigation, the rabbi's connection to Hadad, their collaboration, and the alleged closeness between the two were also discussed. בתביעה שהגיש לפני כשנתיים, טען רבי אמנון: "אף לאחר שהתובע פנה לנתבעים לצורכי תיקון והכחשה. לא הואילו אלה לתקן, להכחיש ולהתנצל, תוך כדי איומים על התובע כי ישתמשו בכוחם הרב בתקשורת על מנת להחמיר את הפגיעה בו". הרב אמנון טען בתביעה כי הוא עצמו "קרבן של נשוא התוכנית אשר גזל אותו בסך כ-400 אלף שקל" ומעשיו לכאורה שהועלו בתחקיר נעשו 10 שנים קודם תקופת עבודתו בארגון. הצדדים הגיעו להסכמה לפיה הנתבעים ישדרו כתובית הבהרה בקשר ל'פרומו' ולכתבה, ופיצויים בסך 57 אלף שקל. שופט בית המשפט השלום בהרצליה יעקב שקד נתן להחלטה מתן תוקף של פסק דין.
