There is not a week in which a new Jewish Torah book is not published in Russian translation, which is joyfully received by tens of thousands of Russian-speaking Jews in all the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, but this time we are talking about an innovation and a unique initiative from the 'Union of Jewish Communities in Russia', with the publication of the first Jewish book ever published, translated into Russian in Braille, for the blind and visually impaired, Russian speakers.

This is a siddur in the style of the Ari, z"l, with morning, evening and evening prayers and additional prayers. The book is the first in the series, and now the union's activists are already engaged in translating the Book of Psalms, for which there is a very high demand. The book publishing project is being funded by the esteemed benefactor Mr. Rafael Yagudaydev, with the blessing of the Rabbi of Russia, the Gaon Rabbi Berel Lazar.

The first siddur to come out of the printing house was dedicated by the Chief Rabbi, to the genius of Hasidic music, Rabbi Yosef Kaddish Krishevsky of the Holy City of Jerusalem, better known by his nickname 'Yossi Gil', who utilizes his blessed musical talents to spread pure Hasidic music throughout the world, especially old Hasidic songs from Russia, on which generations of thousands of Hasidic people grew up who gave their lives in those dark years, for the sake of spreading Torah, Hasidism and education.

The siddur came from the printing press in Shushan Purim, and literally means 'The Jews had light'.
