How does a person who expresses himself in a sickening manner manage to attract thousands of likes? What motivates people from the community to encourage a person who publishes texts that, it seems, have never been published by an academic?

What are things supposed to be?

Amir Hetzroni, a former professor of communications at Ariel University, is known for his harsh statements, some of which he even paid for by being expelled from the university where he taught. However, the media frenzy of Internet users surrounding him and his remarks raises difficult questions of morality and public ethics.

The colorful professor's latest statement, of course, revolved around the soldier who shot a terrorist in the head, who may or may not have been neutralized.

Hezroni quickly sent out a refreshing post from China, where he is currently staying, in which he writes the following outrageous things:

""How surprised can you be that a Moroccan soldier murdered a Palestinian soldier in cold blood? What did you expect? Is this the first time an Arab has killed an Arab?"

When two Arabs fight, especially if one is strong and conquering and the other is weak and conquered, I prefer to take a step back because I know from National Geographic films how it will end, and it is not appropriate for a cultured European person like me who enjoys Wagner operas and Roger Waters rock operas to watch a violent safari with a libretto of slaughter.

"To escape the harsh Middle Eastern sights, I traveled to pastoral China to watch the sakura blossom. Imagine a sea of trees blooming in white, knowing that in a month or two this white will turn into sweet cherries and not bitter, rotten olives like in the occupied territories. In the picture, I reflect on how much Arabs and Mizrahi people are similar to each other and different from me.".

The strange man's words drew no less than 8,548 responses (as of 5:00 PM), some sympathetic but most aggressive along the lines of: "I hope a terrorist falls on you," "I hope the angel of death is on its way to you," "Psychopath, mentally ill, get hospitalized," and other colorful texts that cannot be uploaded to a Haredi website's server.

What's surprising is the number of likes the man received. No less than 2,883 'normal' people encouraged the man and marked 'like' on his eloquent words.

Additionally, 593 people shared his post.
