Look who preaches morality: Nati Grossman, editor of 'Hapeles', the Jerusalem faction's newspaper, this morning (Monday) attacked Shas Chairman Aryeh Deri for holding a 'mixed' event last week.
''Hapeles' directs its arrows at the 'Seven Blessings' evening, which was attended by the entire political elite - including the Prime Minister and his wife, the opposition leader and his wife, ministers, MKs and public figures. The magazine also attacks the United Torah Judaism MKs who celebrated at the event - Minister Yaakov Litzman and Finance Committee Chairman MK Moshe Gafni.
According to Grossman, the evening symbolizes spiritual decline and assimilation into secular life.
""Just last week we received a bitter reminder of the words of Maran Chazon Ish, when we were exposed to new levels of shocking spiritual deterioration and serious assimilation into secular life, when one of the leaders of the aforementioned 'ultra-Orthodox' parties broke all the barriers, by holding a 'Sheva Barakhot' celebration with a complete mix about which the halachah ruled that in such a place one should not say 'the joy is in his abode,'" the newspaper wrote.
