Interior Minister Silvan Shalom announced on Sunday that he is retiring from political life, following allegations by women that he committed serious acts, but the suffering of his wife Judy Nir Mozes Shalom is only increasing.

When the affair began, Judy tweeted several tweets that were interpreted as threats to the complainants, and she quickly deleted them. This morning, she responded again on her Twitter page, sharing her thoughts with the users:

""At least Beer Sheva beat Maccabi yesterday. A thin ray of light in such difficult, depressing and frustrating days. It's harder than the grave of my silence.".

Hours after her husband's retirement announcement, she wrote on her Twitter page: "Sad, but my children above all else.".

Despite the resignation announcement, the Attorney General, Attorney Yehuda Weinstein, ordered that the police investigate the allegations.

Meretz Party Chairwoman, MK Zehava Galon, called on Saturday for Judy to be investigated as well, on suspicion of obstructing an investigation. "I call on the Attorney General to open an investigation not only against Minister Silvan Shalom but also against his wife, Judy Nir Mozes," Galon said at an event at Tarbut.

""In the minister's wife's posts on social media and on the radio, one could get the impression that she was seeking to terrorize women who were harassed by her husband. The message was that this was just the introduction to those who would eventually agree to complain.".

Judy tweeted in response: "If I were a terrorist - she would love me.".

Earlier, Mozes Shalom compared her husband to Chief of Staff Ephraim Bracha, who committed suicide after being criticized in the media, and wrote: "The zeal in the studios to convict a man, to trample on him and to tear apart his family. Wow. I thought about Effi Bracha all night.".

On Thursday morning, Mozes responded to the affair, tweeting: "Of course I am not preparing to remain silent. The experience my children are forced to go through again, even if I go to prison, of shaming and filth. We do not live in a synagogue.".

She later tweeted: "Finally I will speak. Everyone has a past, a present. The facts about them are flowing to me. There is no chance of objectivity right now, and I am not in the right mood to slander either.".

A few minutes after sending the tweets, she deleted them.
