The death of former Education Minister Yossi Sarid is, it seems, a wonderful invitation to sharpen swords between the right and the left.
Last night, media personality Nathan Zehavi wrote on his Facebook page, in response to his death: "I would give him three for one. He would take Sharon Gal, Yinon Magal, and Oren Hazan and leave us Yossi for a few more years.".
This evening he added: "Judeonazis have been celebrating since last night." And as in the blood libels of the Christians, he added: "If they could, they would drink his blood even though it's Hanukkah and not Passover.".
Sharon Gal responded in his own post: "Imagine, God forbid, a right-wing man writing like this about left-wing people after the assassination of the late Gandhi or the passing of the late Raful. Think about it for a moment - how much audacity, disgust, and evil there is in some parts of this camp - and everything goes by quietly.".
""I usually don't comment on texts of this kind, but this time it's important to share, because Nathan Zahavi (again) crossed the line. Please share.".
Gal's post received nearly 1,000 shares within two hours.
Regarding the reactions of the surfers, Gal wrote: "Please, even though it is outrageous and repulsive, try to write with moderation and restraint. This is our strength. It is forbidden to descend to this level, certainly not to incite and blaspheme.".
