It is amazing to discover again and again how senior officials, experts, commentators, and academics focus on the external symptoms of the disease instead of treating its root cause.
There is talk of intelligence failure, of increased border control, of tightening security. That is all well and good, but will this cure the disease that is spreading before our eyes?
We must call the child by his name: a fanatical belief has grown here, approaching religion, that sanctifies murder and killing. It brainwashes young people into believing that by doing so they are fulfilling the will of the Creator and will reach heaven. Young children are deliberately exposed to horrific acts of murder, in order to arouse in them animalistic urges to shed blood.
And the world stands, watching the madness unfold – and is silent.
He is afraid to fight this scourge, out of a basic reverence for religious faith. But that is precisely the point - it is not religious faith, but the complete opposite of everything related to religion and faith.
This is moral corruption and a loss of humanity, and this deviation must be eradicated.
End of tolerance
Both Judaism and Islam venerate the Torah and consider it the foundation for the religions that have developed over the years. The Seven Noahide Commandments are considered a cornerstone of all human culture.
One of these seven commandments is the prohibition of murder and the belief in the sanctity of the life of every human being created in the image of God.
Hence, anyone who cultivates a 'faith' of murder and bloodshed is actually acting against one of the central cornerstones of any religion. In doing so, he removes himself from all members of civilization, and proves that the 'faith' in whose name he speaks is nothing but a complete distortion of the Creator's command.
At this point, tolerance towards opinions and beliefs must end.
Such perceptions must be rooted out, eradicated, uprooted and eradicated. A mosque that calls for killing must be closed. A preacher who encourages bloodshed must be thrown in prison. Media outlets that glorify murderers must cease to exist. This is the real war that must be waged against the murderous madmen.
And the truth is that the world knows how to fight such losing phenomena.
Look at the fight against child abuse. Here, there is no hesitation in confiscating computers, closing websites, or throwing people in jail - even for the mere possession of prohibited substances. Because the world understands that there are phenomena that need to be stopped at the idea stage, not just when they come to fruition.
Muslims themselves will admit
This is not a war against the religion of Islam, but against the madmen who are wreaking havoc on Muslims themselves.
See how many Muslims are brutally slaughtered due to the contempt for human life and the transformation of murder into a so-called 'holy war.' Muslims themselves will thank whoever uproots this sick distortion from among them, and establishes the obligation of absolute obedience to the Seven Commandments of Noah, including the sanctity of life.
This is the real war that the world needs to fight – an ideological war, to internalize the value of the sanctity of life and uproot the culture of murder from among all human beings.
Yes, this also includes stopping naming squares after murderers, and stopping the flow of funds to the families of such heinous criminals.
If the world unites in this real struggle - it will win.
