He writes well: The Prime Minister's Office Tenders Committee this week approved the continued employment of Netanyahu's speechwriter, for a salary of 150,000 shekels per year, including VAT.
The writer, Dr. Hagai Harif, is highly regarded by Netanyahu, and due to the fact that this position requires a relationship of trust, the appointment was not put out to tender.
Harif writes the prime minister's speeches in Hebrew. There is another writer for the English speeches, and his salary is unknown.
Last year, Kharif earned 100,000 shekels, but next year his salary will increase to 150,000, as stated.
The reason: the significant increase in Dr. Kharif's workload, which was not taken into account when the contract was signed at the end of last year.
""This increase in the amount of work is at the request of the Prime Minister, who specifically demands to work with Dr. Kharif, due to his appreciation of his work and recognition of him as someone who meets his requirements," Netanyahu's office said.
