Miraculously saved: A couple, Chabad emissaries to one of the isolated towns in the Negev, were miraculously saved last night (Monday) from a lynching that, according to them, was attempted by Bedouin rioters.
""We stopped for a moment by the sands and then they suddenly arrived," the woman recounted to the website. Storm.net."A large vehicle, with no lights. When I saw them speeding towards us, I realized that something was wrong. I immediately closed the car and by the time I closed the door, they had screeched to a halt next to my car, blocking me. One of them jumped out and started screaming terrifying screams.".
At this point, G. realized that these were Bedouins and that it was dangerous to continue staying there. The problem was that his vehicle was blocked by the Bedouin's vehicle. The only way out of danger was to drive in reverse.
""At this point he took a large stone and came to break my window, but I was driving in reverse at high speed and he tried to throw the stone at the vehicle, but he didn't succeed. Of course I couldn't drive forward, because he was blocking me and the same on the left. What I did was turn the steering wheel to the right and put it in reverse, while the Bedouin who jumped first was again holding a stone in his hands, and the only thing left for me was to overtake him on the right at high speed.".
During the attempted escape, the emissaries' car was hit by the Bedouin vehicle. "It was a real miracle that God put it into the head of their driver to try to block me even when I was reversing, because that was the only thing that allowed me an escape route from the right.".
But even then the story didn't end. The vehicle carrying the Bedouins began to burn as they drove quickly after their vehicle. "I called the police and only after about eight minutes did a police car meet us, driving towards the scene of the incident to search the area.".
""We saw death before our eyes and their rampage on the other side," concludes the messenger's wife. "We were miraculously saved.".
