President Reuven (Rubi) Rivlin met this evening at his residence with the family of the holy rabbi Yeshayahu Akiva Karszewski. The deceased, who was murdered in the stampede and stabbing attack on Malkei Yisrael Street in the Geula neighborhood of Jerusalem a month ago.
Rivlin warmly shook the hands of his only son, Shneur Zalman Karszewski, and heard from him about his father, the 14th.
""Words cannot comfort after such a terrible murder. Your father was murdered as a Jew in Jerusalem, and as President of the State, I wanted to strengthen your hands," Rivlin said. "I hope you will know no more sorrow. This place will comfort you among the other mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.".
The son, who arrived with his wife and sons, thanked the president for his words and said that their conversation during the 'Shiva' strengthened them and warmed their hearts.
