In India, babies experience a strange and surprising ceremony: they are lifted to the top of a 15-meter-high tower in a bucket, and from there they are thrown onto a stretched sheet held by 15 men. • Why do they do this?

And you shall not give any of your seed to Molech: A strange ceremony taking place in India is attracting the attention of human rights organizations around the world, with no one clear on its origin or actual purpose.

According to the rules of the ceremony, which exists mainly in southern India, for about 700 years, hundreds of villagers have gathered and watched as adults throw babies from the top of a 15-meter tower onto a stretched sheet held by 15 men.

The master of ceremonies climbs to the top of the tower holding the baby in a bucket. The baby is then shaken violently and thrown onto the small piece of cloth, which the men hold on the ground.

Why do they do it? According to the report on the Hicks website, the ceremony will bring prosperity and success to the entire family, which is also strange considering that most of the participants in the ceremony live in abject poverty and nothing has changed in 700 years.
