How did Deputy Minister Ayoub Kara succeed in uniting Hamodia and Yated Ne'eman?

Which part of the life of Rabbi Abergil, zt"l, did 'Yom Liom' elegantly skip over? • Which Carmeli should I believe: this week's or the one from last week? • And does the Shas leadership support 'Yom Liom''s call not to treat wounded terrorists?

I really liked Yehuda Schwartz's theory from Meitad Ne'eman, about the security situation and its political context.

He, in my opinion, is absolutely right about the analysis.

Netanyahu is in a trap. On the one hand, he heads a right-wing government, which demands that he take significant steps against the Arabs, and at the same time - expand construction in Judea and Samaria and Jerusalem.

On the other hand, he squints at the expansion of the government, while winking at the 'Zionist Camp' and lighting the torch.

Therefore, every step he decided on was accepted only after left-wing elements muttered a few words about its necessity. Like the encirclement of the eastern neighborhoods of Jerusalem, just for example.

International pressure is also taking its toll. While Abu Mazen is portrayed as the smiling man around, Netanyahu is portrayed as a peace refuser. All he needs to do is increase security operations against the Arabs of East Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria.

When, on the other side, there was pressure from right-wing ministers.

In the meantime, Netanyahu has decided not to make a decision.

The Yom Yom newspaper was forced to divide its main page headlines between the two-year anniversary of Maran's passing ("His Conduct, Ways and Deeds"), and the explosive security situation ("The Fruits of Incitement").

At the bottom of the page, the newspaper referred to the passing of "Rabbi Yoram Michael Abergel zt"l." Although he strongly supported Eli Yishai's Yahad party, Shas embraced him warmly after his passing. As if he were one of its mentors.

In the sense that, after death, they are saints.

The newspaper publishes a conversation that the late Rabbi gave to the daily writer, Rabbi Yosef Sofer, in which he eulogized the late Rabbi Yosef, shortly after his passing.

From then until his passing last week, many winds blew in the movement to restore Atra to its former glory, and even Rabbi Abergel zt"l managed to cross the fence and support retired chairman Eli Yishai.

At the end of those eulogies, he said: "The rabbi looked at me with his kind eyes and said again, gently and pleasantly as always: 'I ask you to convey the message of unity. The unity of the people of Israel is very important. The strength of the people of Israel is in its unity, strengthen the unity.".

Was it because of this message that the newspaper chose to eulogize the rabbi with royal dignity?

What is clear is that in his biography, as it appeared in a multi-page spread, his support for 'Yachad' was not mentioned.

Is the chairman of the Shas movement, or alternatively, is the newspaper's management, behind the following call (from the 'Third Order' section, Ephraim Gilad - on this occasion, they came up with the idea of interviewing Yehuda Meshi-Zhahav, the man and the ZAKA, in a 'one-on-one' interview)?

""You paramedics, medics, therapists and doctors, brothers and sisters, shouldn't you just raise a flag and proudly declare: 'We don't treat terrorists'? We won't bandage the hand of a terrorist who shed Jewish blood? Leave international conventions, leave nonsense, just disappear from the field when the terrorist arrives, make yourself a good coffee and go take a break.".

To be honest, I haven't found a similar reading in any Haredi newspaper, apparently because the people of Israel are "merciful, sons of merciful.".

Perhaps this is the place to mention the official announcement made by the Shas movement several months ago (in a different context) stating that the newspaper does not belong to it...

What is interesting is that on one of the adjacent pages appears a completely opposite column, the column of Menachem Mann (Yora Deah):

""I speak from the soul, from the Jewish soul carved under the throne of honor, the one that feeds on the sanctity of life. Let it be said clearly, a terrorist is a terrorist even when he is a minor, and as a terrorist he is sentenced to immediate death without a bill and without hesitation. But between the verdict carried out on the light rail tracks in the Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhood and the pure soul that resides in the houses of the midrash, there is no and must not be any affiliation.".

While Yated Ne'eman chose to explain the Prime Minister's entrapment within it, the informant chose to criticize him.

In his political column, M. Carmeli recounts how, even before the meeting of the political-security cabinet, Netanyahu chose to send a statement to the media detailing the decisions that would be made later. This is a fair criticism.

His criticism of what happened at the government meeting is also correct.

""At the weekly government meeting, the Minister of Internal Security introduced the new Commissioner-General Roni Alsheich and showered him with praise... Immediately after the speech, several ministers sought to praise Alsheich and Sao.

""Then it was Kahlon's turn. We saw the improvement in the functioning of the police in recent months," said the Finance Minister, "and this should be credited to Sao," he added.

""However, Netanyahu claimed, in light of the situation: 'Very interesting, this is happening alone, there is no reality here, there is no prime minister, there are only changes in the police.'.

Kahlon replied: "With all due respect, Prime Minister, I don't remember when the police were at their lowest ebb, you took responsibility. So with all due respect, we can give credit to the police officers and officers in the police.".

One zero, in favor of Kahlon. What can be done, he is right.

After M. Carmeli announced a 'contingency plan' the previous week, according to which the Zionist Union party, led by Bozhi Herzog, was about to enter the government, it was surprising to read in the same political column this week that this move was getting further and further away.

""It is impossible to conduct negotiations in secret and speak so bluntly to the outside world. If Herzog joins a unity government after these statements, he will make a fool of himself," writes Carmeli.

How does this fit in with the 'contingency plan'?

Well, which of the readers remembers by heart what was written last week...

6.

How right David Daman is in his column this week in Family Weekly.

After describing the frightening security situation - "a universal, paralyzing fear... that attacks not only children in distress... but also strong-willed adults who have already seen something in life. You don't know who will be the victim of the next half hour" - he also 'stings', as a resident abroad (in Belgium), those who have spread so many legends about the situation in the Holy Land:

""In a few hours, in the evening, we'll be at the airport. We'll flee from there to places from which we're constantly being told to flee, claiming that the Jews there are not safe at all, and they live there like sheep in a kitchen, among a crowd of angry and quarreling Arabs, and it's better for them to immigrate to Israel and live in a land that flows with milk and has no Arabs at all, and the Arabs who do remain are pleasant and noble enemies...""

When he landed, after 5 hours of being on the phone, his little one chirped: "No more stabbing? So maybe we'll come back?""

It's not every week that the informant and the loyalist are united, but this week they both came together in the opinion that the news that came out of the office of Deputy Minister Ayoob Kara (the informant mistakenly left him with only the title of MK) was inaccurate, to say the least.

The news reported that Yemeni authorities have ordered the country's Jews to convert to Islam immediately or else leave the country. "The government in Yemen has issued a circular requiring the Jewish community to convert to Islam or leave the country's borders. The circular also states that neither the government nor any embassy will protect the Jews if they do not do so, and it will be permissible to kill them.".

Hanoch Kopilovitz in the announcement: "We tried to check the things and it turns out they are not exactly as they are presented.".

Also according to Rabbi Collins of Beted Ne'eman, "There are demands of this kind all the time, but they are not really serious. Others have said, which reinforces his words, that there is nothing to it. Even if there are such statements here and there, they do not translate into a real danger or threat.".

The interviewee is Rabbi Shimshon Hatuka, the rabbi of the Yemenite community in Monsey, New York, who claims that life in Yemen is going as usual, including spiritual life.

Against the backdrop of the news, the informant chose to interview Rabbi Shlomo Mahfoud, head of the Badach "Yora De'ah", born in Yemen and who immigrated to Israel on the Magic Carpet. "Yated" interviewed Rabbi Shlomo Korach, rabbi of Bnei Brak and born in Sana'a.

Both articles are interesting.
