According to police, the suspect refused to obey the detectives' instructions and barricaded himself in his vehicle. As a result, the detectives took action and broke into the vehicle and completed his arrest, without any injuries.

The arrested suspect, a 26-year-old resident of Beit Shemesh, was transferred to the police for questioning, and based on its findings, a decision will be made whether to request an extension of his detention.

Apparently, this is a photographer from the "Flag" who joined the protesters and documented the incident.

The police investigation into the violent disturbance and the damage is ongoing.

Crowds of protesters arrived at the Tunnels Road checkpoint demanding the release of the detainee.

The police reported that Border Guard soldiers and Jerusalem District police are operating at the tunnel checkpoint, facing dozens of rioters who arrived at the scene and physically blocked the traffic routes, blocking buses with passengers, and also by moving rocks, placing checkpoints, and setting fires in the travel routes.

According to the police, the rioters at the tunnel checkpoint were later dispersed - the roads were opened to traffic and the checkpoint returned to its regular operation.
