Health Minister MK Yaakov Litzman continues to surprise and gain public sympathy in Israel: In a survey published this evening on Channel 2's "People" program conducted by Panel Politics, the new minister came in first place and received an average score of 5.6 among all party leaders in Israel.
Following him in the poll are Bennett with 5.4, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with 4.9, Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon with 4.8, Yair Lapid with 4.4, Bozhi Herzog with 4.3, Avigdor Lieberman with 4.1, Zehava Galon with 4.0, Minister Aryeh Deri with 3.7, and MK Ayman Odeh closes the list with 3.2.
The explanatory notes accompanying the survey findings read: "This year he returned to both the coalition and the Ministry of Health, which is dear to his heart, and for that he deserves a medal. In addition, the new Minister Yaakov Litzman deserves praise, among other things, for his efforts to expand the subsidy for dental care for children and for his attempts to include nursing care in the health basket. Litzman also decided to promote the sale of medical cannabis in pharmacies for those suffering from pain.

""On the other hand, Litzman deserves to be criticized for the hasty decision to cancel the recommendations of the committee of the previous minister, Yael German, which dealt with strengthening government hospitals at the expense of private ones.".
The explanatory statement about Minister Aryeh Deri - who is placed in penultimate place with 3.7 - reads: "Aryeh Deri receives his Tsalash from us because he managed to restore his personal crown and return against almost all odds to the Knesset benches.".
""In addition, Deri managed to defeat his competitor Eli Yishai in a landslide victory. This is despite the fact that during the election campaign Yishai released recordings in which Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, zt"l, supported him over Deri. He failed in the campaign and failed to even pass the electoral threshold.

Alongside the survey, the program published a survey of surfers that was presented on Channel 2's 'Mako' website, in which Lapid received the most votes from surfers (46%), followed by Yaakov Litzman (41%), Naftali Bennett (40%), Netanyahu (37%), Kahlon (30%), Deri (24%), Lieberman (16%), Odeh (15%), Herzog and Galon (12%).
