Volunteers from the "HaShomerim" organization also work in the town of Meron:  On Shabbat night, a Jew, a resident of abroad who had come to stay near the Zion Rashbi on Lag BaOmer, contacted the "HaShomerim" Kambach who was staying in Meron during Shabbat, and reported to him that he was afraid that the apartment he rented in the town had been broken into. The man reported that he had a large amount of cash in the apartment.

During a foot chase after the two suspects, they threw the money they stole into the trash and continued their escape, during which they were captured by the volunteers - and handed over to the police.

The police said that a Jerusalem resident and a Yavne'el resident, both in their 30s, were caught red-handed after breaking into an apartment in Moshav Meron. The two will be brought before a hearing today to extend their detention.
