The Freedom of Information Movement recently filed a request to receive a list of the President's Office's communications with external vendors. Today (Tuesday), the President's Office released the lists relating to the years 2013-14.
The list includes more than 800 engagement clauses, the largest of which are the security and ceremonial clauses for foreign leaders.
The main expenses on the list show figures such as NIS 970,000 for property taxes for 2014, approximately NIS 600,000 was paid for fueling government vehicles - including security vehicles, and a similar amount was spent on the vehicles themselves.
The President's House's electricity bill amounted to approximately 591,000 NIS, and 303,000 NIS was paid in the "Communications, Computers and Telephones" section.
In the first seven months of 2014, during which Peres was still president, 11.49 million shekels were spent, while in the five months during which Rivlin entered office, only 2.9 million shekels were spent - a decrease of dozens of percent, although some of the expenses recorded during Peres' term were annual expenses such as security.
However, during President Rivlin's term, strange expenses were recorded, such as parchment for a mezuzah for NIS 1,982, a desktop scanner for NIS 5,399, and suitcases for carrying classified materials abroad for NIS 7,400.
Over 12,000 shekels were invested in "adapting the hospitality garden for the Sabbatical year.".
In 2013, when Peres served alone, 387,000 NIS were paid for amplification and projection services for events, 276,000 NIS for refreshments and catering, and 199,000 NIS for infrastructure for stages and events.
In addition, this year more than 305 thousand NIS were paid for the "Internet management" section, and 282 thousand NIS for computer services.
Additional items that year, totaling more than 200,000 shekels, appear under the general heading "Operations." And "Training for the President's House employees" cost taxpayers more than 200,000 shekels.
