No speaker: Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan will have to look for a communications advisor again, after Itamar Fleishman's appointment to the position did not materialize, reports the Ace website.
Reason for cancellation: The appointment is expected to be delayed for a long period of time due to procedural reasons related to the security investigation, and due to Fleishman's personal circumstances - which led the designated spokesman to inform Erdan that he was giving up the position.
Fleishman, who began speaking for Jewish Home a year ago, ended his role in the party, along with Dana Mizrahi, the spokeswoman for party chairman Minister Naftali Bennett, a little over a month ago. This is due to the party's deteriorating financial situation, after the sharp decline in the number of seats in the last elections.
Itamar Fleishman previously served as a journalist for Ynet, Yedioth Jerusalem, and Maariv. A year ago, he was appointed Naftali Bennett's spokesman on a temporary basis, and then began serving in various spokesperson and informational roles at Beit HaYehudi.
With the retirement of party spokesman Pinchas Wolf about six months ago, Fleishman replaced him in the position, and served as the Jewish Home spokesman in the last election campaign.
