Huawei, the Chinese cellphone manufacturer, announced the launch of its new flagship device, the P7, at an impressive ceremony in Paris.
After the company proved its capabilities in the field of miniaturization, and brought to the world (and to us) the P6, the thinnest cell phone in the world, Huawei is bringing out a successor that is only slightly thicker and much more powerful.
Huawei introduced a cell phone with a resolution of 1080X1920, a very impressive pixel density of 445 pixels per inch, and a thickness of 6 mm. The company claims maximum screen space utilization, and brings fourth-generation communication, 2 GB of RAM, Android 4.4 (with Emotion UI 2.3 interface), and a powerful 2500mAh battery. The processor is the weak link, a 1.8GHz quad-core processor made by Huawei, not something we've encountered before.
An 8-megapixel front camera positions the phone as designed for selfies, and the 13-megapixel rear camera isn't far behind.
According to the company, the device is cooled with a cooling gel that keeps it extremely cold, and that the antenna ensures a better than usual connection to the network.
The device will be launched at the beginning of Sivan in 33 countries around the world, and its official price is €449. It will arrive in Israel towards the end of the month at a similar price - something quite rare in our active cellular market.
