Incitement against the ultra-Orthodox is pervasive:  Last night, Independence Day night, shortly before 2:30 a.m., serious statements against the ultra-Orthodox public were broadcast on the 'Gale Tzahal' station.

In the program 'Independence at Night' on the military radio station, hosted by Noa Zinman and Tamar Amit Yosef, which aired in the 'We Don't Want to Sleep Independence' slot, the program's panel members discussed animal cruelty and vegetarianism.

One participant responded: "For me, I would really eat human flesh, human flesh, with pleasure because animals are not meant to be harmed. Let's thin out the population, that would be great.".

The presenter asked: "Who, for example? Because that's a terribly problematic combination. It has to be someone you want to kill and you don't like, and B: someone who doesn't put you off eating?""

And the panelist replied: "That's exactly the paradox, because the people whose population I would most like to thin out are the Haredim, but they probably have the most disgusting taste, it must be terribly rancid.".

""Because it's kosher," Man Dehu commented, and his predecessor agreed: "Kosher is the most disgusting, kosher restaurants are disgusting restaurants." All this when the waitress asks him to clarify things and even comments: "They stink because they eat Kneidlach?""

After a few minutes, during which songs were played, the host tried to clarify: "On behalf of the Independent Nights system, as if what we said earlier about eating Haredim, we didn't really mean it. It's all in humor.".

Response from Udi Yerushalmi - Commander-in-Chief and Spokesperson for the Galatians:

""The things said on the program were not said at the behest of Gali Tzahal and were out of place. Immediately after the words were said, broadcaster Galtz clarified that this was a humor and satire program and that there was no intention to harm the Haredi public. We apologize to anyone who found themselves offended.".
