On the occasion of Holocaust Remembrance Day, the media covers hundreds and thousands of stories of those who perished in the terrible Holocaust, as well as of the survivors. However, none of these stories feature the stories of ultra-Orthodox survivors or the preservation of Jewish tradition in the ghettos and camps.

Media advisor Yarach Toker, who also serves as the spokesman for Degel Hatorah chairman MK Moshe Gafni, tweeted this evening on his Twitter account: "An important clarification for media editors. Yes, gentlemen, there are also ultra-Orthodox Holocaust survivors, and they should also be heard about the heroism of preserving tradition during the Holocaust.".

The one who responded to him was actually Yesh Atid chairman Yair Lapid, who wrote: "For the sake of changing the moon, I completely agree with you and am ready for us to work on this for the next Holocaust Remembrance Day. Even preserving tradition in the camps and ghettos is Jewish heroism.".

Toker added and commented: "Even among the torch-lighters tonight, you won't see any Haredim, even among the 'pioneers' who will light a torch on Independence Day, there are no Haredim pioneers. Really?""
