The fourth World Halacha Winner was crowned on Radio Kol Berama: Thousands of avrechim and bene Torah scholars participated last night (Sunday) in the finals of the 'World Halacha Quiz - Season Four' held by 'Kol Bramah' radio at the 'Or Chaim' Yeshiva in Jerusalem.

The current season began four months ago, when the station's listeners who are knowledgeable about Shabbat laws were called upon to answer an initial screening test of 50 questions.

Out of thousands of participants, only dozens were able to answer more than 40 questions correctly. The contestants took part in another screening test, this time written. Of these, 25 young men were selected for the program and competed during the season for the title of "World Halacha Groom.".

The Halacha Quiz is held and broadcast every Sunday from the 'Or Chaim' Yeshiva in Jerusalem.

The quiz was conducted by Rabbi Ofir Malka, and moderated by Yaniv Meiri. In each program, two contestants who received the lowest score in that program left the quiz.

Five contestants reached the finals of the quiz: Roy Nachmias, David Arbiv, Netanel Hanu, Moti Damari, and Roy Amzalg. The contestants have immense knowledge of Shabbat law and passed dozens of tests in their study and proficiency in every third part of the Mishnah Berurah.

At the end of the quiz, four rounds of questions of varying difficulty were held, and at the end, the grand winner of the title of "World Halacha Groom" was announced - and he was Netanel Hanu, who also won 10,000 shekels.

Second place went to David Arbiv and third place to Moti Damari. They will also receive a cash prize and a series of books.

The program was highly popular among Torah scholars and those interested in studying Halacha and was broadcast live on Kol Brama radio and on a video broadcast on Kol Brama's website.

In addition to Rabbi Ofir Malka, the final round of the quiz was also attended by the head of the Porat Yosef Yeshiva, Rabbi Moshe Tzedakah, the Av Beit Din of Jerusalem, Rabbi Baruch Shraga, and a member of the Council of Torah Sages and head of the 'Or Chaim' Yeshiva, Rabbi Reuven Elbaz - who blessed the 'Kol Bramah' radio, his son-in-law Rabbi Ofir Malka, who edits and hosts the quiz, and the station's CEO Ariel Deri, who works to promote Torah programs and Torah readings on Kol Bramah broadcasts.

The final program was accompanied by the orchestra of singer Meidad Tsa.
