In the Russian village of Chirkev, located near Dagestan, a sheep was born with an almost human face. The eyes, mouth, and nose almost exactly resembled the human equivalents, and only the ears were 'sheepish'.
The owner, Blasius Orniativ, said he had been waiting all week for the lamb to be born, but was 'shocked' when he first saw the lamb. "I was happy for the birth because I was hoping to sell the little lamb, but when I first saw it I thought I was dead," he was quoted as saying in the Daily Mail.
In the village, which is made up of ignorant people, superstitions quickly spread, seeing the strange creature as an expression of some kind of curse.
