Where are you in the "order"? It's the first question everyone asks, like 'how are you', what's the weather like...
So really, where are you okay?
If you are one of the thousands of Chabad Shluchi families whose Seder night actually fulfills the Haggadah's commandment, "All that is necessary, let it come and pass," you don't need to answer this question. The answer is clear.
Even in the month of Nissan, the month of redemption, we are commanded to rejoice. A popular children's song confirms this: "Great joy, spring has come, Passover is coming.".
Joy?! So many tasks fall on us with the arrival of spring before Passover comes. Most of the tasks fall on our shoulders - the women - where do we get joy from all this.
In a radio interview I conducted with Haya, I tried to understand how one can reach feminine awareness according to the cycles of life throughout the year. Among them, of course, is Passover and the preparations that accompany it.
And this is what Chaya explained to me on that broadcast:
""From Lul Tishrei to Purim we get an opportunity to get to know ourselves. On Purim we strip ourselves of ourselves, change our identity – we disguise ourselves.".
""Right now, between Purim and Passover, we are rediscovering ourselves. The many preparatory works that are required require us to descend from the heights of Olympus and return to the small details.".
Even career women, working, educated, and entrepreneurial, are getting back to dealing with the little details. It turns out that in order to be big, you must first be small...
There is a purpose to all of this work and preparation. Ultimately, it brings us closer to God. It is in fact a preparation for rebirth in preparation for the Passover holiday, when the people of Israel were born upon their exodus from Egypt.
It is no wonder, therefore, that a few days earlier we commemorate the birthday of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, whose entire life was dedicated to those small details, to those preparations for the complete redemption.
The Rebbe demanded a detailed report from each and every emissary, from each and every community. He instructed us in detail regarding the implementation of our mission in this world – to bring about the days of the Messiah. It is the small details that ultimately make up the complete picture – the picture of redemption.
