Zvi Zalevsky is a veteran and respected artist in Jewish music. He has nine successful albums behind him, including 'Sha'arei Armon' and 'Uri and Yeshe' – dedicated to the melodies of the High Holy Days, 'Mim Rabim' – produced after the Oslo Accords, and 'Anani' – which was released following the great and unimaginable pain of the expulsion from Gush Katif.

Zvi is currently finishing work on a new, tenth album, which brings together a selection of songs he has composed in recent years.

The album, which will be called 'And Here the House Is Illuminated', which will be released towards Lag BaOmer, is expected to contain poems by poets, poems he wrote himself, and of course, lyrics from the originals.

A special novelty this time is the guest artists on the album, which include Ilan Damari, Yitzhak Meir, and Aaron Deutsch – a young and talented musician.

From the name was this – it is the first swallow from the album that is on the way.

The song was composed for the wedding of a close family friend, who, after many years of searching and bitter disappointments, found the one she loved. "We all felt that it was a fairy tale, so it couldn't have been more appropriate than to compose these verses," says Zvi, who also reveals that this is his third composition to these lyrics.

The choice to host Ilan Damari, the lead singer of the band Hamadredog, in the song was an old dream of Zvi's. "I really like his singing and I was sure he would do it best. Happily, he granted my request and the result is indeed wonderful," he recalls.
