The decision phase • The Defense Minister promised MKs: "Answers in the coming days""

Knesset members of United Torah Judaism and Shas - representatives of the ultra-Orthodox parties on the Shaked Committee - MKs Yaakov Litzman, Moshe Gafni and Ariel Atias, held a meeting with Defense Minister Bogyoke Ya'alon in his office in Kirya in Tel Aviv this afternoon. As expected, the meeting did not feature any particular dramas. The MKs conveyed their demands, explained what the red lines of the great men of Israel were, regarding the question of reporting, activating the military units, and persuading yeshiva students to enlist. Minister Bogy Ya'alon listened and promised to provide appropriate answers to their questions in the coming days. • Senior security official: "Bogie will find ways to reach a solution"" בין השאר הועלה גם נושא הבדיקות הרפואיות, שלמרות שבא אל פתרונו באפשרות שניתנה על ידי הצבא לביצוע הבדיקות אצל רופא המשפחה, עדיין נראה כמיותר, בשלב בו בחור הישיבה ממילא אינו מתכוון להתגייס ומגיע לשם קבלת דיחוי בלבד.  השר, כאמור, הבטיח לבדוק. ברקע עומד חשש של הצבא ושל המערכת הפוליטית, מפני ניתוק קשר מוחלט של  הציבור החרדי, במידה וגדולי ישראל יכריעו שלא להתייצב לצו ראשון. ההחלטה בנושא תינתן בכינוס מועצות גדולי וחכמי התורה, שתיערך לאחר שיינתנו התשובות של  שר הביטחון.
