""Not Everyone Is Born a Panda," is the name of a book written by biologist Simon Watt, and its subject is: "The World's Ugliest Animals on the Brink of Extinction.".

In September 2013, the British Society for the Preservation of Ugly Animals chose the ugliest animal in the world, with the lucky winner being an Australian fish called the blobfish, New Discovery and Hicks reported.

The blobfish's face became known all over the world, and became the official symbol of the association, which sought to raise awareness of the disappearance of animals without 'public relations' due to their repulsive appearance.

""Interest in beautiful animals could cause no fewer than 250 species of animals to disappear," the association says.

As mentioned, the association recently published the book 'Not Everyone Is Born a Panda', which features photographs of dozens of unsympathetic-looking animals, alongside additional stories and facts.
