In a routine activity conducted by a team from the ZAKA Honor Guard Unit, including caver and hiker Yehoshua Lavie, a Jewish burial cave from the Byzantine period was uncovered in the Jerusalem area, which had been damaged and looted by grave robbers.
Skulls and bones were found scattered like a dove on the ground.
ZAKA volunteers, Nachum Bernstein and Yehoshua Lavie, worked tirelessly in recent days to honor the deceased, until they returned the bones of the ancestors to their first burial.
