Photographer Israel Bardugo filed a lawsuit for copyright infringement: half a million NIS

Photographer Israel Bardugo filed a lawsuit against the Best Group for copyright infringement in the amount of NIS 525,000. According to the lawsuit, the company used a photo taken by Bardugo without his permission and without giving credit.

All rights reserved: Photographer Israel Bardugo, owner of the company 'Israel in the Air', filed a lawsuit last night with the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court for copyright infringement against the Best Group.

The lawsuit, which presents an extreme case of copyright infringement of photographers by a recognized entity, was filed by Attorney Ariel Dinowetzky and Erez Abramowitz, from the law firm of Dr. Avi Weinroth, and within the framework of which Bardago is demanding compensation in the amount of 525,000 NIS.

According to the lawsuit, the Best Group made commercial use of one of Bardugo's photos, all without his consent and while omitting the credit from the photo.

The photo in question is a photo of the Sammy Ofer International Stadium in Haifa, from the period of construction, in which the Best Group took a large part. It was taken From a helicopter that Bardugo put into the air, which involved great costs.

The Best Group took the image without permission, without compensation, and without credit, uploaded it to its website, and even passed it on to other entities such as the BDI and Dans rating companies, in order to attract entrepreneurs.
