This evening, at a ceremony in memory of those murdered in the massacre at the Bnei Torah synagogue in the Har Nof neighborhood, Avishai Ben Haim, a commentator on Haredi affairs for News 10, arrived, carrying the photographer's heavy tripod on his shoulder.
Avishai, what's the tripod doing on the shoulder? I asked. "I started out as a camera assistant," the commentator responded with a smile.
• And really, what is the reason?
""The photographer didn't want to take a tripod to the event, but I'm very particular about the quality of the photography, and since it was heavy to photograph, the price I pay for the work to come out perfect is to carry his equipment." [Gallery]
